I WON!

I did! I won something! I never win! But no longer, 'cause I won!

So what did I win?
A local talent award! Such an amazing and rewarding experience, I got to perform with an orchestra with whom I'll be performing once more in 2015. Crazy.

I sang 'girl in 14 g', the video will be up on YouTube later this day, got showered with compliments, had a blast and won a trophy. I had my picture taken multiple times, with my trophy, and I will probably appear in a local newspaper with an outrageous smile on my face. I was just having so much fun! It looks like my luck is finally coming around and I am truly grateful for it!

After 3 years of constant rejection, this is one of the most amazing things that happened to me. But that seems to be happening a lot to me lately and I don't know who to thank for it. Things suddenly fall into place, and after years of soul-searching, self loathing and other fun stuff, it is a welcome change of pace.

It looks like all my hard work is paying off and I couldn't be happier about it!

And as a sweet cherry on top, I'm becoming an auntie! I'm already in love with the little thing, which is a bit strange 'cause I haven't seen it yet. But I love it. I'm going to shower that little baby with all my love and gifts and cuddles. And love. And more love. I'm in love.
